Get Well Soon Dear Motherland.

This is my way to express MY thoughts,I do not belong to any political party, They say a pen is stronger than a sword, I thought of using a more advanced, popular and a stronger weapon, the Internet. If anybody doesn't agree with my thoughts, they can happily hit the red cross on the top right corner of the window. Nobody IS forcing you to read this and NOBODY CAN force you to read this. After all, My mother is said to be the largest democracy of the world. I still request you to keep all your personal grudges aside and think about what i am actually trying to say. :)

We were always taught that our nation, MOTHER India was once called the "Golden Bird" before being looted by foreigners. It is understandable that stronger nations conquered the land, manipulated the people, divided them on the basis of caste and took all the wealth they could. Painful past, isn't it?
Children are taught about how bravely our ancestors fought for the freedom of our land, about how tragic and problematic Indian history has been. We feel proud don't we?
We say stuff like, "India is a FREE country, THE LARGEST DEMOCRACY OF THE WORLD, SOON TO BE A SUPERPOWER, INDIA SHINING!!" okay, yes. We are progressing. Year after year, month after month, day after day, minute after minute OUR COUNTRY, OUR MOTHERLAND IS DEVELOPING.
What we need to do here, what I really want us all to do through this blog is TO THINK FOR A WHILE. Where are we heading to? What are we doing to keep OUR mother HEALTHY or WEALTHY??
What are we doing to make our mother A REAL SUPERPOWER?? She may look fit from outside, what about her condition within??

I'm sure we all must have heard about the BLACK MONEY IN SWISS BANK ACCOUNTS. We all know it does exist. We all know who have the RIGHT to benefit from it, and we all know who actually is benefiting from it. As we heard from some of our leaders, India isn't the only country with money in that bank. I Agree, but I always heard a saying in hindi when I was a little younger, "AGAR WOH KOOEIN MEIN KOODE TOH KYA TUM BHI KOODOGE?" which means if someone is foolish enough to jump in a well, does that mean that we should copy them? And we are SO interested in copying others, why can't we copy the germans who deployed their sources, got to know about black money and brought it back home?
Chinese rail minister caught for corruption, was given death penalty. Indian rail minister caught for the same and lost nothing but his chair. But why should we copy others? Monkeys have a habit of copying, don't they?
We hear that the Rupee is falling. I don't know if our leaders actually care about it but  think of a middle class indian candidate who is deserving and willing to go abroad for higher education and can't do so because his bills would raise with every single dip our indian rupee takes? Now why would we worry about that poor soul? its his problem isn't it?  BUT THIS INCREASES THE COST OF EVERY SINGLE THING IMPORTED IN INDIA. Petrol,Diesel,Cellphones,Cars,Electronics.
Worried a little?
Our mother is forced to take LOAN to survive. WHAT? HOW CAN THAT BE TRUE?? WE ALL PAY TAXES. WHERE DOES IT GO? See the overflowing drains in monsoon.See the broken roads.Have a look at all the problems you face daily.
NOW I DO NOT MEAN THAT NOTHING IS BEING DONE, I DON'T MEAN THAT NO DEVELOPMENT IS TAKING PLACE. But it is not uniform. The rich get richer and the poor die of hunger.
WHY BOTHER, We can blame the government, we can blame the people WE ELECTED. We can abuse a little, and forget it for the rest of the day. HOW CAN WE CALL IT OUR MOTHER LAND? We have our responsibilities too. Its OUR mother, not THEIR mother.
THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO EARN LESS THAN 30 RUPEES PER DAY! Do we even think twice before buying a mobile worth Rupees 30,000/- ?
Businessmen donate crores of rupees to political parties for campaigning before elections, and they think a hundred times before donating a hundred rupees to an NGO working for cancer patients.
But I can understand, We all have heard about the fraud NGO's too.

But my mother is progressing, she is walking towards a brighter tomorrow. She has about 50 percent seats reserved for OBC/SC/ST's. What a great thought. I'm sure all general quota candidates would be knowing what is actually being done. PEOPLE TRAVELING IN MERCEDES ARE RESERVED ON THE BASIS OF CASTE, A farmer's son who is hardworking and deserving is denied a seat in a college even when he has scored more than the reserved candidate who is allotted a seat.  I'm not against reservation, if the government is that considerate, reservation can be given on the basis of family income and not caste.
HOW CAN WE SAY THAT WE'VE MOVED ON THE CASTE SYSTEM? HOW CAN WE SAY THERE IS NO DISCRIMINATION?
Wake up dear siblings, this is all VOTE BANK POLITICS. DIVIDE AND RULE. Open your eyes, get over your selfish interests and for once think about OUR nation? May the deserving candidate have the seat? IRRESPECTIVE of his/her caste?  Let's do what sounds right rather than easy?
We see about 750 vacant seats in IIT's and DU taking out 6th-7th cut off lists this year. SOMETHING MUST HAVE GONE WRONG. Don't you think?

WE LIVE IN A COUNTRY WHERE :
  • Car loan is cheaper than education loan.
  • Rice costs Rs. 40/- and a sim card is free.
  • People worship Durga,Laxmi,Saraswati yet we see sex determination and infanticide.
  • Olympic shooter gets a reward of Rs. 10 lakhs for winning gold, and a soldier's family is given Rs. 2-5 lakhs on his death on Duty.
  • We happily give 50 rupee tip to a waiter and don't bother to give a single rupee to a beggar knocking our car-windows at red lights.
I see our mother trapped, tied up in chains, chains that we need to remove to push her to success. to make her rise. to finally let the golden bird fly!!GET WELL SOON DEAR MOTHERLAND!
